In a city that loves to celebrate, there are several options for NYE fun and beyond. Whether you’re looking for an East Coast Toast, interested in starting your 2024 with the perfect kiss right at midnight our time, or catching early Zzzs so you can prep for our annual New Year’s Day Polar Plunge, Edmonds offers many ways to ring in 2024 your way.
Keep reading (and bookmark this page for updates—many restaurants are still putting their NYE parties together) to find the perfect places to eat, drink, embrace, and dance into the New Year.
But First, Glam
It’s important to spend the last day of 2023 feeling your finest. Get a blowout from Frequency Collective or Slate (guys can get a super-clean shave at Auda’s Barber Shop), a manicure at Main Street Nails, a facial from Kenzthetics inside MODA, jewels from Comstock’s retirement sale, and a full ensemble from NC Concept Store or Little Bipsy.
Now, you’re really ready to party.
Countdowns Around Town
If 2024 were your best friend (and she should be), you’d treat her well. You’d wine and dine her. You’d dress to impress. You’d put your phone far out of view. You’d flirt a little, lean in, and show her you care. Spend your night doing just that at one restaurant or several. A handful of our suggestions:
Vinbero invites you to their annual “East Coast Toast,” where every wine glass (and your outfit) sparkles. Bubbles and oysters will be served and dinner starts at 7pm. At 9pm, partygoers will raise their glasses for an "East Coast Toast" with some social time afterward, but it'll be early enough that all you party people can still make it to other New Year's parties or tuck in a little early. Keep refreshing the Vinbero website, Facebook, and Instagram for more details, and reserve your seat here. Return the next morning for a benedict brunch!
If you’re manifesting a tropical vacation in the new year, head over to Calypso for Caribbean sips and eats just a few blocks up from the ferry. They’ll be ringing in the new year with throwback tunes from DJ Urban Child and DJ Midnight Grooves, 10pm to 2am.
Bar Americano, Daphnes’ cute Italian cousin, surely has something to serve up its sleeve. If this is your new go-to spot (and it should be), stay in the know about their NYE plans here.
Bar Dojo will spoil your taste buds with Aguachile oysters, Dungeness crab bisque, wagyu beef tartare wonton tacos, lobster XO risotto, filet mignon, and a grilled tomahawk for two. Got kids? Start lining up childcare ASAP.
Charcoal will be serving up a series of specials. Keep your eye on their website for updates, and splurge on the wine pairing while you’re there!
The ChurchKey Pub will hand out a glass of champagne to everyone inside when the clock strikes midnight.
Even if you can’t stay until the bell tolls, Epulo Bistro always wins best-dressed on party nights. Start your party plans there and see where the evening takes you!
Head to Fire & The Feast for oysters, scallop crudo, prosciutto pear gem salad, braised short rib, truffle gnudi, and buttermilk panna cotta or almond tarts for dessert. Go big in anticipation of 2024 and order both!
Kelnero will just be running lots of sparkling cocktail specials and half-off high-end spirits. If this is your cocktail and noms spot, get there early to take full advantage!
The Loft is always up to something fun in one of the few places in town that resembles a swanky lounge. Keep their Instagram refreshed to be the first to see what they’re planning for NYE!
Salt and Iron will offer caviar service, foie gras, truffle risotto, lobster tail, and a decadent clock dessert you’ll know if you had it last night. Decadence awaits!
If You’re Feeling Bold
The 16th Annual Polar Bear Plunge
Meet us at the beach at 1pm on January 1, or circle up with a toddy at Daphnes for a little hair of the dog prior to practicing your Wim Hof breathing for the 16th annual Polar Bear Plunge. This is your chance to run into the water with a 2024 intention, send up a little whoop, and get your nervous system regulated for all the good that’s to come in the next year. Hey, we know it’s counterintuitive, but we’ve heard it’s scientifically proven.
For a quick warm-up after the plunge, pop over to Shore Pine for a bowl of chowder!
Wherever and however you ring it all in, show us your celebrations by tagging #edmondsholidays on Facebook and Instagram.
Happy New Year!
