The very popular program began during the pandemic to give folks more social-distancing options and still be able to enjoy the best Edmonds has to offer.
All day and evening every Saturday and Sunday, from June 19 through Labor Day Weekend, Main Street is closed to vehicle traffic from 6th Avenue to 3rd Avenue. (Map here.) Vehicle U-turns will continue to be allowed around the fountain, with clear pedestrian pathways.
Saturdays, the Summer Market is open, with grass-fed- and pasture-raised beef, organic potatoes from Frog Song Farm, troll-caught-fish and smoked salmon, and, of course, the PNW bounty of locally grown berries.
Downtown Edmonds merchants are pulling out all the stops with a retail raffle — spend just 25 bucks at participating merchants and you're entered into a drawing for a custom-designed Lovin' Summer t-shirt. Drawings occur every week beginning in July. Rogue Boutique and Little Bipsy are hosting wine tastings for their VIP customers... get on that list!
Seriously... the sun is out. The beach is calling, and it's time we started Lovin' Summer in Edmonds again.
